The heart of every herd lies in the quality of the females. We bought a cross section of some of the best known female lines at Monterey to start up our silvers and then we looked at the outstanding black breeding programs in Australia and identified cattle that fit our objectives.
Contessa (Silver)
Originating from the Big Park Contessa T13 matron, we first acquired Contessa Z1 from Fairview Ridge with a heifer calf B5 at foot. This line of females has probably our most successful line of females. The first in calf each year, lovely soft calves that grow and grow.
Dream (Black)
The famous Dream line we acquired privately from Banquet G259. Out of the original Vermont Dream X215, they don’t come much more famous than this line.
Irene (Black)
Originating from the Banquet Irene cows (D457 and E411) we purchased at the Banquet Belles sale. Large framed with lovely udders and a fantastic temperament.
Magnolia (Silver)
The silvers don’t come any more famous than the Magnolia line. These girls really produce terrific calves. Outstanding maternal instincts, terrific Murray Grey temperament and milk, lots of it.
Thelma (Black)
Going back to the original Glen Bold Thelma R09.
Vanilla (Black)
Used through the Monterey breeding program for their softness, temperament and grass conversion. With our focus to build a premium carcase from grass, we added a number of this family into our breeding program.
Wivem (Black)
Another of the Banquet cow families we introduced from the Banquet Belles sale of 2015 via E221.
