Murray Greys (aka Silver Angus)

In February 2009, we commenced our stud operations purchasing 15 breeding cows from Tarlina Stud at Port Lincoln. The animals were chosen for their frame and bone structure. Rod Gregurke was appointed as a consultant and mentor having bred Murray Greys for 40 years brought with him vast breeding experience.

A further 17 heifers in calf were purchased privately from Monterey in WA in June 2009 representing a cross section of some of the famous female families from Australia’s most respected Murray Grey stud. These animals were chosen again for their thickness, soundness and ability to produce progeny that are highly sought after in today’s market place.

Within 6 years, we had bred a herd of some 200 cows capable of delivering consistent quality with AI and ET playing a very small part of our operations.
